In our line of duty, while dropping flyers on raising awareness on domestic abuse in a local saloon, a conversation heated up on the issue. One women pointed out that talking domestic abuse is taboo conversation in BME communities.

As the conversations continued, she confessed she was a victim of abuse for 11 years and had not sought help anywhere, as she had no one to talk to about it. Most of us shared our views and all came to agree that……
